Bentley Park Bandstand

Bentley Park, located in Doncaster, was originally opened in 1923 and established through the Bentley Miners Welfare Fund. As part of a Heritage Lottery Funded restoration project, a new bandstand has been installed to replace the original, which had been absent from the park for many years.

The steel frame of the new bandstand was fabricated and installed by our team, with a focus on durability and ease of maintenance. The structure was galvanised to ensure long term protection against the elements. Other contractors completed the stone plinth, roofing and final fit-out.

This contemporary design pays homage to the park’s heritage while providing a resilient and low maintenance feature that is resistant to vandalism, ensuring enjoyment for future generations.

We undertook a levels survey of the existing ground, produced drawings for aesthetical and structural approval. The structure was installed on foundation pads provided to the structural engineers details.

Following installation any bruised paintwork was touched in, joints sealed from water ingress and the canopy structure was then ready for others to complete the roofing and fitting out.
